Peg Irish started to make this rug at Ann Winterling's Rug Rave in Concord, New Hampshire. She hooked one line of each of the letters blindfolded, and wrote to us, saying "I thought I was hooking my "L" straight up and down but it is at a definite slant. Strangely enough, the "E" was at the same slant." She describes the background as "a la Peg Irish" because, as she says, so much of her hooking is "on the straight".
The rug is 9.5" high by 12" wide with an oversewn edge.
