In November 2009 Heather and her husband Les returned to The Gambia for four and a half days of hectic hooking in the Rug Aid workshop. The trainees had made good progress since Heather's last vist and she was very pleased with the rugs they had produced.
In this 30 minute video, filmed by Les Ritchie, you can see for yourself how Heather's endless patience and boundless enthusaism enable her to teach people who can't see, people with whom she seldom shares a language, to make hooky rugs.
