Welcome to the Rug Aid Rug Rave!

On Saturday 21st November 2009, rug makers around the world were invited to join the Rug Aid Rug Rave. As well as having a fun-filled day, Rug Aid's founder Heather Ritchie asked participants to try hooking blindfolded for 30 minutes: this gave everyone an idea of what the blind trainees in The Gambia experience.

Anyone who wanted to join in could work on a current project or make a start on this rug which Heather designed for the day. The photo below shows how Heather interpreted her design and we'd really appreciate having a photo of your finished rug to include in a gallery we'll create later to see how brought your own colour scheme and techniques to the design.

Please email photos of your rug rave and of your finished Rug Rave rug to rave@rug-aid.org
